The Voice of Consulting Engineering in Alberta

Consulting Engineers of Alberta (CEA) is a not-for-profit organization representing the business and professional interests of consulting engineering companies in Alberta. As a proactive and effective advocate for its members, CEA works with all levels of government and other stakeholders to promote opportunities and a positive business environment for its members. Its membership of over 75 firms provides a wide range of engineering services to government and private sector clients on a project-by-project basis.
The talent of CEA member firms is in demand globally. Member firms provide technology based consulting services to government and private sector clients in Alberta, across Canada and in numerous countries worldwide. CEA engineering firms employed 8,000+ people in 2007/08, including engineering and technical professionals. This figure rose by 12% from the previous year.
Through its membership with the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies - Canada (ACEC), CEA is also a member of FIDIC, the international association of engineering, technology and management firms related to the built and natural environment. FIDIC includes some 67 member associations worldwide.
