About the Opportunity

Our growing Kamloops office wants to add a motivated, positive, and hardworking Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to our Water and Wastewater team. This opportunity allows you to work on interesting and challenging water/wastewater treatment projects across BC from a base in the interior.

In this position, you can expect to:

  • Establish relationships and act as the client’s representative on-site during construction
  • Expand your technical skills, and apply theory to provide workable solutions for water and wastewater management systems
  • Explore creative and sustainable solutions that support our clients to build vibrant communities
  • Develop models of water and wastewater conveyance and treatment systems to analyze and solve problems
  • Provide accurate and timely input on technical reports, plans, studies, proposals, and presentations

Qualifications:

About You

This opportunity is well suited for a recent graduate from a civil, chemical, or environmental engineering program with up to three years of work experience. Those currently in their last year of study with an anticipated graduation date of December 2022 or April 2023 are encouraged to apply. A degree program with a water and wastewater focus would be an asset. In addition, the following attributes are considered a benefit to this role:

  • A keen interest to seek out opportunities to collaborate with people of varying backgrounds and perspectives
  • Attention to detail, and ability to continually deliver high quality work
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at a time and thrive in a self-directed work environment.
  • Care for the work you do and its impact on the communities we serve.
  • Previous experience working on water resource projects, or with related software
  • Willing and able to travel to project sites throughout Western Canada.
  • An Engineer-in-Training eligible to register with EGBC
  • A valid class 5 drivers’ license
