McElhanney Consulting Services Ltd. has a new and exciting opportunity for an Intermediate or Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our office in Terrace, BC! This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and talented individual to use their design and project management skills in a growing and multidisciplinary environment. The successful candidate will have 7—10 years of Geotechnical Engineering experience and will have the opportunity to be the project management lead on a variety of transportation, municipal, and resources related projects in diverse terrain and geological conditions! 

• Geotechnical Project Engineering and/or Project Management lead on a wide variety of transportation, municipal and resource related projects in diverse terrain and geological conditions.
• Develop new business opportunities and establish strategic relationships with key clients, agencies and partners.
• Create superior proposals and technical reports.
• Manage some of our diverse geotechnical and civil projects.
• Exceed client expectations by leading multidisciplinary teams, providing mentorship and guidance to junior and intermediate engineers and technical staff.

• P.Eng with a university degree in Geotechnical Engineering with a minimum of 7-10 years related experience.
• Member in good standing with Engineers and Geoscientists BC.
• Sound technical expertise and thorough knowledge of engineering principles and theories.
• Ability to prepare engineering reports and studies.
• Leadership skills with the ability to delegate responsibilities and motivate others to produce results.
• Organized, good written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and general computer knowledge.
