Description:

Our growing Vancouver office is looking to add an enthusiastic, purpose driven Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to our team. Are you keen to benefit from the support of industry professionals while working on exciting and inspiring projects that make a visible difference in many communities? In addition to the learning and project experience, you can:

  • Hone your civil/environmental engineering skills, apply theory, and provide workable solutions for infrastructure design and planning, including water, sanitary, drainage, and road infrastructure projects.
  • Explore creative and sustainable solutions together with our clients to build vibrant communities
  • Establish relationships with communities and act as the client’s representative on-site during construction to gather information, conduct inspections, and ensure that designs are built to specifications
  • Prepare cost estimates and tender documents, and contracts
  • Provide accurate and timely input on technical reports, plans, studies, proposals, and presentations
  • This position will be supervised by a professional engineer, registered in B.C.

The opportunity to work remotely and from home does exist, although, from time to time, we may need assistance with client work or face-to-face meetings. Therefore, the individual would need to reside in the Metro Vancouver region.

Qualifications:

This opportunity is well suited for recent graduates from a Civil or Environmental Engineering degree program with a strong passion for improving municipalities and local Indigenous communities. Candidates should be eligible for registration with EGBC. In addition, the following attributes would be considered a benefit to this role:

The following are desirable but not required:

  • Experience working with municipalities and Indigenous communities
  • Experience using AutoCAD or Civil 3D for design drafting of linear infrastructure
  • Experience and understanding of GIS and asset management
