Position Description:

• We are seeking a motivated individual with a minimum of 5 years’ experience providing engineering design and drafting support services for civil engineering works associated with municipal projects.

Position Duties:

• Design and drafting of site plans and civil engineering works (grading, stormwater management, underground utilities and surface improvements) associated with municipal projects according to Provincial and Municipal standards.
• Development and design of preliminary engineering concepts during the planning process.
• Quantity takeoffs and preparation of cost estimates for design projects.
• Drafting of asbuilt record drawings at project completion.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D for the creation of engineering designs.

Qualifications:

• A graduate from a recognized Civil Engineering, Civil Technology or related program.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience providing design and drafting support services for civil engineering works.
• Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D (required).
• Excellent drafting skills with good knowledge of drawing set-up and production.
• Excellent communication skills, including teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and produce high quality work.
• Positive work ethic and adaptability to a variety of projects.
