Role Overview

McElhanney Consulting Services Ltd. seeks an Intermediate Electrical Engineer for our Prince George, BC office. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for delivery of both capital and maintenance projects that achieve cost and production goals while maintaining world class quality, safety and environmental performance.

Our Prince George team specializes in civil, geotechnical, structural, and electrical engineering, as well as geomatics and environmental services. We work closely with our team members in Smithers, Prince Rupert, Terrace, and Kitimat to provide cost-effective, integrated consulting services to fit the specific needs of your project.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects on behalf of, and as part of, the client project team
  • Provide engineering input to a variety of electrical commercial, industrial, and infrastructure design assignments
  • Perform feasibility studies as part of business case development for proposed capital projects
  • Hire, supervise and coordinate other consultants, contractors and vendors on contract work and projects
  • Understand, commit to, and fulfill responsibilities under the McElhanney Quality Management System, ISO 9001 and all client quality, safety, and environmental management systems
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to junior staff

Qualifications:

Requirements

  • Ability to develop and maintain long term client relationships
  • Registration (or eligible for registration) as a Professional Engineer in Canada
  • 5 years minimum experience in electrical engineering
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
