Nominations are being sought for the 2019 Lieutenant Governor’s Award for distinguished service to be presented at the CEA Showcase Awards Gala on Friday, February 8 at the MacEwan Conference & Event Centre in Calgary.
If you know of a person who has served the Alberta consulting engineering industry in an exceptional way and who deserves to be recognized for their distinguished service, please send the name of the candidate and accompanying documentation to the Consulting Engineers of Alberta, attention Lisa Krewda (firstname.lastname@example.org), by September 30, 2018.

1 - Names of candidates for the LG shall be solicited from CEA member firms. A copy of the candidate's curriculum vitae (C.V.), along with a brief outline of the achievements and contributions made by the candidate, shall be requested as per Appendix B. All names and accompanying documentation shall be submitted. All candidates should conform to the criteria of Appendix A.
2 - Submissions should be made to the CEA office to the attention of Lisa Krewda.
3 - The recipient(s) shall be notified immediately.
The Lieutenant Governor’s Award recipient shall be brought forward to the board from the committee for unanimous vote from the Board of Directors. The recipient must be an individual who is or was a Member of the Association, either as an individual or by virtue of corporate membership.
Submissions are not to exceed 7 pages in length (not including appendices) and are to be submitted on 8.5” x 11” paper using 11 point font. Submissions that exceed these guidelines will be returned for reformatting.
Submissions should be in the form of a letter addressed to:

The letter should include:
A. Greatest achievement the candidate should be known for (suggested 1 page max.)
B. Identify examples in each of the following categories that highlight the candidate’s leadership, public profile, specific achievements and volunteer initiatives:
C. Relationship of nominator to candidate and years known
In addition to the letter itself, up to 5 pages of supporting documentation may be provided as appendices, including:
A. CV of candidate
B. Other endorsements if applicable (e.g. media reports, professional industry or community, press releases, awards, citations)
