The City of Calgary (The City) identified the need to implement a year round biosolids dewatering solution that supports The City’s strategy to provide diversified beneficial use programs for biosolids produced by The City’s wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs). Beneficial use programs include The City’s new Composting Facility. Therefore, The City constructed a biosolids dewatering facility (Dewatering Building) to dewater digested sludge (biosolids) produced at the existing Bonnybrook WWTP (BBWWTP) located in southeast Calgary.
The Dewatering Building provides:
Construction and commissioning of the Dewatering Building was completed in September 2017, and full-time operation commenced in November 2017.
This event will feature a short presentation and site tour of this exciting new WWTP facility. The presentation will be provided in the Dewatering Building’s training room. The site tour will present and explore the Dewatering Building’s processes and construction process.
* PPE is required. Please bring a hard hat, safety vest, steel toed boots & safety glasses. Gloves aren’t mandatory but are recommended.*

In order to receive a partial refund, a request for cancellation must be received by email at finance@cea.ca prior to the registration deadline. No refunds will be provided after the refund cut-off date of the event. To avoid disappointment, early registration for activities is encouraged as space may be limited.
Refunds will be subject to a $25.00 administrative fee.
