President

Sara Anderson, P.Eng., is a Principal and Senior Engineer at Urban Systems. Sara graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor in Civil Engineering and she is a professional engineer member of APEGA, EGBC and in the State of Colorado. She is currently the Past Chair of the CEA Municipal Liaison Committee. Sara is a professional engineer with 20 years of experience who specializes in municipal infrastructure in support of growth and development. She has been leading project teams in community planning, infrastructure master planning and financial cycles throughout Alberta and British Columbia. She focuses on infrastructure funding and asset management, stakeholders’ engagement and integration through collaborative communication and processes.

     
 

Past President

Sean Snowden, P.Eng., is the Manager of Transportation Engineering in Northern Alberta for WSP Canada. He received a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering (Co-op Program) from the University of Alberta in 1995. Sean has served in progressively responsible roles in the civil engineering consulting environment for more than 19 years, providing leadership and advice on design and construction projects and fostering excellent working relationships with clients, stakeholders, technical experts and sub-consultants in a partnered environment. Sean believes in leading by example, continuous improvement and providing exceptional customer service and client value. He has been a member of the CEA Transportation Committee since 2009, and is committed to a sustainable, united consulting engineering industry.

     
 

Vice-President

Ryan Gidluck, P.Eng., PMP, is the Vice President of Morrison Hershfield’s Infrastructure Team. Ryan graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1996 and has over 20 years of engineering experience. Ryan has been fortunate to take on many interesting roles in a wide variety of engineering projects from preliminary engineering studies up to mega projects. During his career, Ryan has managed the design, procurement and construction of transit infrastructure, roads and bridges, buildings, storm-water ponds, underground and overhead utilities and intelligent transportation systems. Ryan is an active member of the Project Management Institute, Engineers Without Borders and the Consulting Engineers of Alberta.

     
 

Treasurer

Todd Simenson, P.Eng., FEC, ENV SP, is Stantec’s Vice President and Regional Leader for Alberta North and Territories. In his 31 years with Stantec, Todd has built a strong foundation of relationships and an unrivaled commitment to his clients across Western Canada, dedicating his career to providing real-world solutions that positively impact the communities and clients he serves. Todd leads his team to recognize the importance of maintaining and improving community infrastructure systems, and has successfully completed a wide variety of multi-discipline civil engineering infrastructure projects and studies. In 2017, Todd was honoured with the Frank Spragins Technical Award at the APEGA Summit Awards, an achievement awarded to individuals recognized by their peers for their integrity, technical expertise, and accomplishments in the field in engineering.
