Young Professionals Group (YPG)

Our Mission:

The Mission for the CEA YPG is: "to enhance the growth of the CEA and the engineering consulting industry by promoting the participation and development of young professionals".

Our Vision:

The Vision of the CEA YPG is: "to increase awareness of the CEA’s Young Professional Group within the CEA Member Firms and the Community at large, to showcase the accomplishments of Young Professionals in the Consulting Industry, and to encourage professional and personal development of young professionals."

Our Mandate:

Definition of a Young Professional: A young professional can be defined as an individual working for a CEA member firm as an engineer, engineering technologist or technician with less than 10 years of experience in their applicable field.

Objectives of the CEA Young Professional’s Group:

To contribute to the growth of the engineering consulting industry within Alberta.
To better understand the function, role and business of the CEA.
To promote, grow and understand the relationships between clients and consultants.
To create a network of cross discipline young professionals within the engineering consulting industry.
To actively participate in the committees and events sponsored by the CEA.
To promote the benefits of and increase the membership of the Young Professionals Group.
