Note to User: This Check List is provided as a “reference guide” and is intended for facilitating regular communication between the Consultant Project Manager and the (City of Calgary) Client’s Project Manager. The Consultant and Client PM should discuss the appropriate use of this form as part of the project initiation meeting and customize the categories to suit the Consultant’s Assignment at hand and agree on the appropriate frequency of review.

Information from City of Calgary

Over the last 18 months, The City has been working with internal and external stakeholders, the Consulting Engineers of Alberta, Consulting Architects of Alberta, Calgary Construction Association and Alberta Roadbuilders and Heavy Construction Association, to develop and pilot a new suite of construction procurement documents. The City’s primary goals for developing these documents are:

As the documents are finalized, we will release samples to internal and external stakeholders for information on The City of Calgary - Preparing construction tenders site.  The first documents, being released, include:

Future construction procurement documents in development include:

The City will be offering an information session for external interested parties. Details will be available through the external stakeholders who participated in the project in the near future.

The City will begin to phase in the new documents starting immediately. The transition from the old to the new documents will continue until the end of 2016, at which time we will stop using the old documents. 

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all internal and external stakeholders for their assistance in developing the new suite of construction procurement documents. The amazing collaboration and time investment by all parties will benefit us all in the coming months and years.
